The head of the Prosecutor's General Office of Justice (FGJCDMX), Bertha Alcalde Luján, reported on the progress of the investigation into the collapse that occurred in the San Antonio Abad area, which left three workers dead. At a press conference, the prosecutor explained that from the very first moment, a technical investigation was initiated to clarify the causes of the accident and determine responsibilities.

Technical investigation into a possible demolition failure Bertha Alcalde Luján detailed that one of the main lines of investigation focuses on possible technical failures during the demolition process of the building. "It is known that the company used a progressive demolition method, it had control of this company. Therefore, a very important technical assessment of possible failures is being made."

The official emphasized that specialists are analyzing whether the procedure used met the necessary standards or if there were errors that led to the collapse.

Review of omissions in security and permits Another key line of the investigation focuses on possible breaches of security measures, civil protection, and regulations. The prosecutor indicated that the documentation submitted by the company and involved authorities is being reviewed, although to date there is no formal complaint for document forgery.
